Tested and running on Siemens WinCC. Built on standard MS SQL Server access, so most SCADA platforms with a SQL-based historian are compatible. Ask us about yours.

Plant Advisor organises context for an existing Scada database to allow users to employ AI in a clean repeatable manner. The interface allows for creation and re-use of saved user-defined queries to provide consistency and objectivity.

Plant Advisor

by Logicon Automation

Get the most
out of your data.

Useful information from historian data usually needs specialist knowledge or a custom report. Plant Advisor removes that barrier, drawing answers straight from what’s already logged.

No dashboards

Nothing to build or maintain.

No SQL to write

Just natural language questions.

Answers in seconds

Graphs, reports, and natural language answers from logged data.

Plant Advisor comparison showing manual historian analysis taking three hours compared with an answer in eight seconds.

Built for plant environments.

Where data integrity and system security are non-negotiable.

Read-only access

Plant Advisor is secure for your plant as it only reads from the historian. It cannot change plant data or anything in the control system.

Local data

Conversations and reports produced by the service stay on the host machine on your plant network. Nothing is saved in outside servers.

Role-based access

Operators ask questions and run Topics; administrators manage settings and accounts separately.

Encrypted credentials

Database and service logins are stored encrypted on the host. No credentials leave the plant network.

AWS Bedrock

Choose to run the AI engine through AWS Bedrock, keeping model traffic inside your own cloud security boundary.

Uses your Knowledge

Import descriptions and drawings and knowledge to train your system.

Audit Log

Every question and answer is logged, including who asked it, when it was asked, and what data was used. This gives your team a clear record for audit review.

Your Data Being More Useful.

Some of what Plant Advisor can do.

YOU What are the current tank levels? Ask about the plant… Ask

Chat assistant

Ask questions in natural language and get an answer drawn from the historian: alarms, levels, trends, running programs, anything logged at site.

Topics TOPIC LABEL e.g. PACL tank levels WHAT IS THIS TOPIC FOR? DEVICES Type to search… Save topic

Topics

Save any recurring queries as Topics and run them in one click. Ideal for shift handovers, daily summaries and equipment health checks.

Enable the triggers poller Name e.g. High level on FS-R01 When An alarm fires Then Run the advisor Debounce (min) 15 Create trigger

Event Triggers

Bind a plant event to an action, so a saved Topic or check runs automatically the moment the event occurs.

Simple integration.

  • 1

    Set up the host machine

Run the Plant Advisor service on a PC at site. Historian connection and port settings are configured here. This is the engine everything else connects to.

  • 2

    Connect from any device

Once the service is running, any device on the plant network reaches Plant Advisor through a browser using the host’s IP address and port. Sign in and you are ready.

  • 3

Ask for data in natural language

Ask questions, run Topics for detailed reports, or build your own Topics as you go.
